Basic cabin accomodation at the end of the fjiord. Ideal to start the cruise. Reasonable restaurant with good evening meal and breakfast. Staff friendly.

Remote location just next door to the tunnel connecting Flam, so would be convenient if wanting to hop round to Flam by ferry and the restaurant for breakfast, it was in a nice enough area. Also, the venue was so close to The Viking Experience.

The location of this place near the Norway in a Nutshell route and the ferry terminal was fantastic.

Very poor rooms, terrible bathroom. Expensive, no value for money.

The best thing about staying at Gudvangen Fyordtell & Apartments was the scenery!
The room was grossly overpriced! It was little more than a log cabin and the shower (although there was a shower screen) wet the whole of the bathroom area when used. Having said this the shower worked well and the room was clean. It was just far too expensive for the room type. The breakfast provided was adequate.

The family apartment was spacious and comfortable. the breakfast was delicious, with options like bacon, and the view was amazing. - the staff was very friendly and accommodating. - the hotel is located in a beautiful, remote area surrounded by mountains and close to the ferry to Nærøyfjord.

The location is just right there as you get off the boat. It is the only hotel in Gudvangen.
Price is high for a lodge. Walls are very thin between apartments/bedrooms. There doesn't seem to be very good insulation - I wonder what it's like in winter. Gudvangen is a quiet small town. If I were to go there again next time, I would rather carry on with my journey to Voss or Flam. Breakfast is so and so - ok but not too exciting. Reception/breakfast/internet are located in a separate building, 1 min walk from the apartment - which is a bit inconvenient in winter time.

The location was beautiful and the nature georgeous.
The restaurant had run out of a lot of food when we came. The staff often did not know much about the logistics of travelling from the place or things to do locally.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right on the ferry pier with stores and convenience stores within walking distance. Njardarheimr is placed at a small distance, making it easily accessible.

The location.
Some staff were very slow to respond to request. The breakfast buffet was very slowly re-stocked. The room was comfortable but by Australian standards very over priced.

The view was ok.
The apartment was very bad. It was very noisy and smelled. The apartment was old and the toilet smelled very much. This was the most expensive hotel in Norway on our trip and at the same time absolutely the worst one. I would rather sleep in a normal car than in this hotel.

We had a great time staying here with our children, everything was good, from the impeccably clean room to the amazing views.

Stunning location to a waterfall, and 5 minute walk from The Viking Experience. Adjacent to tour buses at the expense of the guests as well as towering mountains with cascading waterfalls. Exceptionally comfortable beds and central heating, multi-channel television and a microwave oven.

Little hotel with cheap food and super location near to ferry dock...
